Brewers Fans: “I hope you get shingles again”

The St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers are fighting for a spot in the 2011 MLB playoffs. In a recent game between the two teams, Tony La Russa said Brewers fans went too far by saying “I hope you get shingles again”. The manager for the Cardinals had shingles for two months earlier in the baseball season.

Tony La Russa yelled at the Brewers fans during the game and after the game, he remained mad.

Said Tony La Russa: “The guy’s yelling, ‘I hope you get shingles again’. That’s just stupid.”

During the same game, superstar Albert Pujols got hit by a pitch near his troublesome wrist. The Cardinals retaliated by hitting Ryan Braun with a pitch.

“I don’t want to even hear about Braun,” said a peeved Tony La Russa, “getting a little pop in the back when we almost lose (Albert Pujols).”
