We have reported on RedMere’s cables back at CTIA Fall 2010. These HDMI cables have a miniature IC in the cable connector to boost their strength, and they are ultra-thin. You can see in the image how skinny they are compared to a regular HDMI cable. I’ll leave you to decide which is which is the RedMere.

RedMere makes these HDMI cables under several different names. When you click under Where to Buy on RedMere’s home page, they have a list of many names and retail outlets.

We live in an era where anyone with a smartphone should have an HDMI cable to connect with their smartphone, camera, or portable gaming system in order to get a bigger image on our large-screen televisions. I’ve tried out HDMI cables on my Droid X before, and I could never get mine to work. I did a little research and discovered that my phone will only do video and pictures when an HDMI cable is connected to the screen. Some smartphone do the whole HDMI out thing, but some do not. Perhaps you have had a similar experience.

For this reason, I recommend that everyone get an HDMI cable. I’m sure that I don’t even have to explain this, as hopefully you already have. If you haven’t, then I would suggest finding yourself a RedMere HDMI. You can find out more about them here.
