The 2011 college football season is almost here. As proof, check below to see the 2011 college football coaches poll. As expected, Oklahoma is No. 1 in the rankings. The top five is rounded out by Alabama, Oregon, LSU and Florida State.

Oklahoma led the way with 42 first place votes, while Alabama had 13. Oregon and LSU tied with two first place votes.

Florida State being at No. 5 is a bit of a surprise considering the Seminoles finished last season at No. 16. Other teams make a big jump include Texas A&M (No. 21 to No. 9), South Carolina (No. 22 to No. 12) and Notre Dame (unranked to No. 18).

The top two teams from last year didn’t get any respect. Auburn, who won the 2010 National Championship, starts this season at No. 18. TCU, who finished second in the coaches poll last year, begins at No. 15.
