The New York Mets have traded Carlos Beltran. In return, the Mets got a package of players led by Zach Wheeler. Who is Zach Wheeler? Let us inform. Also look below for Zach Wheeler pictures.
Zach Wheeler a right-handed starting pitcher who was drafted in the first round of the 2009 baseball draft. He has a fastball that can reach 94 MPH and mixes in a nasty curveball. His curveball, which registers at about 72 MPH, is regarded as his best pitch. Right now, he has trouble with his command but he’s also striking out a lot of batters in the minor leagues.
How good can Zach Wheeler be? He has a chance to one day be a No. 2 starter in the major leagues. He has loads of potential but he’s still putting it all together. As it stands, his minor league ERA is around 4.00. That said, for the Mets, to get an elite arm in return for less than a half a season of Carlos Beltran is a great trade.
