No matter how many times he gets arrested, the Cincinnati Bengals keep giving Cedric Benson more chances. On Sunday, the Bengals gave him yet another chance when they agreed with a one-year deal with their starting running back worth $5 million. Of that salary, $3 million is guaranteed.

Recently, Cedric Benson was arrested for allegedly beating up a male roommate. He was arrested in his home of Austin, Texas. Do the Bengals even care? Apparently not.

After playing really well in 2009, Cedric Benson wasn’t very good last season. His yards per carry was a weak 3.5 yards. He did rush for 1,111 yards and seven touchdowns, however it took him 321 carries to get to those numbers.

The 28-year-old will once again start for Bengals this season. But if he struggles or gets arrested once again, you’d think the Bengals will have to start wondering whether it’s time to go in a different direction.
