When Peyton Manning took less money in re-signing with the Indianapolis Colts, he did so to make sure the Colts could build a good group of players around him. So far, so good. Hours after Peyton Manning signed his deal, the Colts re-signed Joseph Addai.

While the running back is coming off of an injury plagued season, He remains an important part of the team. Last seaon, in eight games, Joseph Addai totaled 495 rushing yards and four touchdowns. His 4.3 yards per carry was his highest number since his rookie season back in 2006.

Next season, expect Joseph Addai and Donald Brown to split time at running back. Donald Brown is the future at the position, however Donald Brown still has some tread left on his tires.
