Reggie Bush had been one of the most popular players on the New Orleans Saints. His game-changing ability made the Saints a very dangerous offensive unit. However, the Saints apparently want to go in a different direction and have traded Reggie Bush to the Miami Dolphins. The trade was competed after Bush agreed to a new contract terms.

Why would the Saints trade Reggie Bush? Injuries could be a big part of the reason. Bush has been banged up the last four seasons and the Saints perhaps didn’t find him trustworthy enough. Additionally, while Bush is a fantastic pass catcher, he’s not very good on the ground. In fact, Bush has never rushed for more than 600 yards in any of his five NFL season.

As for the Dolphins, they needed an offensive spark. Their bland attack wasn’t too explosive last season. By adding Bush to the lineup, the Dolphins can get a lot more imaginative. Plus, with Miami being a team that rotates a lot of running backs, Bush won’t have to carry a big load and can instead be more of a specialist.
