DeSean Jackson isn’t happy with his contract. And honestly, I don’t blame him. DeSean Jackson has proven to be perhaps the best big-play wide receiver in all of the NFL. He’s also a beast in the return game. Going into this season, the Philadelphia Eagles are only paying him $565,000. That is absurdly low.

Last season, DeSean Jackson had 47 catches for 1,056 yards and six touchdowns. In 2009, he had 62 catches for 1,156 yards and nine touchdowns. In his three seasons in the NFL, he also has four punt return touchdowns.

Drafted in the second round out of California, DeSean Jackson has exceeded expectations. Many thought that the 5-foot-10 speedster would be too small for the position in the NFL. That, obviously, hasn’t been the case.

The Eagles need to give him a nice pay raise. Period.
